That is a dull title and I will change when I’ve managed a few thoughts, expressed a few ideas. Letter writing, a diary kept; both good practice as otherwise the clog of what has filtered in, brewed and been unexpressed, becomes like tea stewed and stale. It takes on a banal shroud, too much to say therefore shortened to what become headings, a brief note of what was worth saying long and strong.
I’m working on two things at the moment; brief descriptions noted on my phone – ‘I saw her and thought road kill …’ Where I will work this in? I have no idea but worth inclusion somewhere. Inspired by Donna Tartt whose descriptions of people are ultra original. Also to eliminate that extra space between sentences which look ridiculous in a printed book. But habits learned, used and kept for fifty years are ingrained.
